A policy is a set of rules assigned to a data source (a location within a connection) that determines what content SkySync is looking for, how it should label the content when found, and what actions, if any, SkySync should take for the content. There are multiple components that make up a policy: tracking groups, assignment rules, actions, and data sources. This page provides a high-level overview to help you understand policies. To learn more about a specific element of a policy, refer to the Help Center page for that specific item.

Assignment rules are where you select the entity types you want to use to identify the content. You will build sets of logical statements that will be used to determine if the content belongs to the tracking group.
