Pausing a data sources prevents all scans of the data source for all assigned policies. This means no scans, either scheduled or manual, will run against the data source until it is turned back on (resumed). The option to pause a data source that runs on a schedule is always available. A data sources that uses on-demand scans can only be paused if a scan is actively running. In this scenario, pausing the data source cancels the scan. Another manual scan cannot be executed until the data source scanning is turned back on (resumed).
