Provisioning New User Accounts
When a new user account is created in ShareFile, a welcome email is sent to the email address of the account. This email contains a link where the user can create their password and activate the account.
If an account is created but not activated by the user clicking the link and creating a password, that account will not be usable within SkySync if "Use My Files & Folders For All Users In My Enterprise" is selected when creating the connection (pictured below).

If a ShareFile connection is created this way and the SkySync administrator attempts to access/modify the contents of that user account through either the Navigation Panel or a job, the following error will be reported: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

When the link in the welcome email is followed, a password is set and the account is activated, the content will become accessible by SkySync.

Citrix ShareFile does not currently support SSO |
Restrictions
1) While in Citrix Folders can be created however files cannot be. This means that any file found within FileShare was uploaded from a different source.
3) Folder directories use Microsoft Windows Character Limit
4) You cannot upload more than 10,000 items into an individual folder. This includes a zipped file containing 10,000 items.
5) While you can upload files up to 10GB or 100GB, depending on plan level, any upload that takes longer than 18 hours to complete will fail.
6) Citrix has the following unsupported characters "|*?<>\"\\/:"
7) ShareFile does not read date time stamps and as a result the initial runs of jobs can result in unwanted duplication and overwriting of data
8) Time modified will also not be preserved and will instead show when it was copied over.
9) The ShareFile User Interface does not support viewing metadata, however, metadata can be written and mapped into content being imported to ShareFile
11) Leading periods are not allowed in file names.
12) The Max segment length is 100 characters and the max file name length is 100 characters (96+4 char extension).
Unsupported Characters
In the Citrix User interface attempting to use one of these characters will not result in an error message. Instead in the character simply not saving, or the unsupported character will be replaced with “–“
For example if I created a folder in Citrix and attempt to name it “/foldername” then it will likely turn the file into “-filename” when I save it. However if I name it “File? Name” then it will likely just be called “File Name”.
The exception to this rule is the “ character which is changed to ‘
