Overview

Custom Insights allow you to create tailor-made dashboards that report on the information relevant to your unique use cases. This allows you to get all your content insights within the DryvIQ Platform, eliminating the need to use additional third-party reporting applications.

Creating a New Dashboard

  1. Select Manage Custom Insights from the Insights menu.

  2. Click Add dashboard.

  3. Click the Pencil icon to edit the dashboard name and click the Save icon to save the changes.

  4. The Data Sources panel displays on the right side of the page.

  5. Click Add data source to create the data source. Refer to Custom Insights: Data Sources for information about each section available when creating a data source.

  6. Once you create the data source, assign the data source to a components data to create a visualization for the dashboard. Refer to Custom Insights: Components Data for more information about the available visualizations.

  7. Additional text and images can be added to the dashboard to customize the dashboard further. Refer to Custom Insights: Assets for more information.

Editing a Chart

  1. Click the three dots on the top-right side of the chart.

  2. Click Edit from the menu that displays.

  3. Edit the chart.

  4. Click Save to save the changes.

Removing a Chart

  1. Click the three dots on the top-right side of the chart.

  2. Select Remove from the menu that displays.

Exporting a Dashboard

The Export option allows you to print the dashboard to a PDF file. This allows you to share the dashboard information with users who do not have access to the DryvIQ Platform. The export is saved to your default downloads location and will be named the same name assigned to the dashboard.

Applying Filters to a Dashboard

When viewing dashboards, use the Filter, Select scans, and Refine options to customize the data further. These options are the same options available on the Results page. Refer to Filtering the Results, Selecting Scans, and Searching Discover Results for information on how to use these options.

Applying Saved Views

The My saved views option allows you to apply a saved view to the current dashboard. These are the same saved views available on the Results page. You cannot update saved views on the custom insights pages. If you need to edit a saved view, you will need to edit it on the Results page.

Viewing All the Dashboards

The Manage Custom Insights page displays a list of the custom dashboards that have been created. From Here, you can choose to view a dashboard by clicking on a dashboard tile. Each tile also provides options that allow you to rename or delete a dashboard from this page.

Renaming a Dashboard

  1. Select Manage Custom Insights from the Insights menu.

  2. Click the three dots on the bottom-right side of the dashboard tile.

  3. Click the Rename.

  4. Edit the dashboard name.

  5. Click Done.

You can also rename dashboard when viewing the dashboard. Just click the Pencil icon next to the dashboard name and edit the name as needed. Click the Save icon next to the name field to save the changes.

Deleting a Dashboard From the Manage Custom Insights Page

  1. Select Manage Custom Insights from the Insights menu.

  2. Click the three dots on the bottom-right side of the dashboard tile.

  3. Click the remove.

Note

The dashboard tiles are assigned color in a specific sequence. Deleting a dashboard will cause the other dashboard tiles to change color to maintain the sequence.

Deleting a Dashboard Within the Dashboard

  1. Click the Dashboard tile to view the dashboard.

  2. Click the Pencil icon next to the dashboard name.

  3. Click the Delete icon next to the name field to delete the dashboard.

Pie Charts on custom insights show the top five values and all other values grouped into “Other.” If the first five values are large enough, they will fill the entire chart, and the “Other” segment will not be clickable so you can view the results. To make this segment clickable, remove another label from the legend to filter it out of the chart. This will allow the “Other” segment available for selecting so you can view the results.
