Overview

The Child Locations Scans page displays all the folders under the parent (primary) location for mapped locationsscans for a mapped location or document set. This is where you can initiate scans for child locations or remove child locations that you do not want to scan. The page will vary depending on if you are viewing the child scans for a mapped location or a documents set. For a mapped location, the grid displays only the path and scan status.

Scanning Child Locations

Because there are often numerous child locations, scans are not automatically triggered by the scan schedule set for the parent (primary) location. Instead, you must manually trigger scans for child locations. You can trigger a scan for a single child location using the Scan now button for the location. You also have the option of triggering a scan for every child location using the Scan all now option, or you can trigger a scan for selected jobs.
