The Accounts page displays scan contents by account to help you identify the accounts with the most content by file count and size. Custom filtering enables allows you to target obsolete, duplicate, and shared files or , as well as other properties essential to your business's data security needs. Drill-down capabilities let enable you to quickly view the list of files for each account for deeper analysis. Alternatively, or you can use the export feature and require the account owner to follow up on the items. Whether it’s the first step in preparing for a file migration or just a regular part of your process to ensure clean data, DryvIQ makes reviewing content by account simple.

When refining the accounts based on bytes, the refinement filters are based on individual files and not the account’s aggregate bytes. For example, refining the page to show bytes over 500 will filter out individual files with a byte size less than 500 and not accounts with a total byte size less than 500.

Grouping displays information grouped by custom attributes that you import into the DryvIQ Platform. Attributes are custom metadata applied to accounts or groups, so the groupings are relevant to your data. DryvIQ provides a starting template to for download and use to build an attributes import file. The imported attribute file will populate the Group By Attribute list.

The export is limited to 100,000 accounts. If you need to export more than 100,000 accounts, DryvIQ recommends you sort sorting the grid by the Account/Group Name column and export exporting the first 100,000 accounts. Then, advance to page 1000 (since each page has 100 items) and generate another export. Continue this pattern until you have exported all accounts. You can combine the individual export files using a CSV file merge tool to create one import file. When combining multiple CSV files, ensure the header row appears only once.

Note

DryvIQ recommends sorting the grid using the "Account/Group Name" column before exporting. Otherwise, the CSV file will use random sortingbe sorted randomly.

  1. Click Import attributes.

  2. The Import attributes modal appears, and you will be on the Export current attributes tab.

  3. Click Export items. If the button is unavailable, verify that the Group By Attribute selection is set to (Ungrouped), the default value.

  4. A CSV file named account-attributes.csv will be downloaded to your default download location.

  5. The template will include at least an “account” or “group” column based on the page's Permissions setting. This column lists all accounts or groups identified by the available content scans. If additional attributes have been imported, they will be added as individual columns to the export, and the corresponding attributes for each account or group will be listed.

  • The first column header must be “account” when creating an account attribute import or “group” when creating a group attribute import. The import will fail and produce an error if your import does not follow this structure.

  • The remaining columns can be customized as needed.

  • All columns are treated as strings. An empty string is the same as having no value for a column. Deleting an existing value in the import file will delete the value when the file is imported into DryvIQ.

  • The maximum number of attributes in an account and group import is 20. If your import exceeds 20 attributes, it While an attribute import can contain more than 20 attribute columns, each account or group in the import can be assigned up to 20 attributes only. If an account or group is assigned to more than 20 attributes, the import will fail and produce an error.

  • The maximum string length for attributes and key values is 100 characters. If any value exceeds 100 characters, the import will fail and produce an error.

If your import file has multiple formatting issues, DryvIQ will display an error for the first formatting issue found. Upon subsequent import attempts, DryvIQ will present another formatting error if it encounters one is encountered.

Below is an example of an account attribute import. The first line is the header line, which defines the attributes the file provides. Since this is an account import file, note that “account” is the first header value. The remaining lines provide the values for each account to be included. In this example, the import adds Name, Department Code, and Job Title attributes for each account.

Editing the Columns

The Accounts page also has features an Edit columnsColumns button that allows you to customize the columns and control how information displaysis displayed. However, you only have the Show raw value and Hidden options. The Show/Hide and Redacted options are unavailable on the Accounts page. Refer to Editing the Content Grid Columns for complete information about how to use the Edit Columns feature.

You can save a filtered view on the Accounts page just like on the Content page. Saving a view saves all the current filter options, searched words, and column configurations so you can apply the same view to the Accounts page later. However, you can only save a private view on the Accounts page. Private views are only available accessible on the machine on which where they are created. Refer to Saving a Viewfor more information about on creating and managing saved views.

Click the arrow icon in the Account Name column to view the filtered content for the account. This action will take direct you to the Content page, which will be filtered to display the items for the specific to your account.
