Overview

The Child Locations page displays all the folders under the parent (primary) location for mapped locations. This is where you can initiate scans for child locations or remove child locations that you do not want to scan.

Searching Child Locations

The number of mapped locations displays above the Child location column. Use the scroll options or buttons at the bottom of the grid to navigate through the pages of child locations. You also have the option of searching for a specific path using the Refine option. The path search is case sensitive, and the search text must match the path exactly.

Scanning Child Locations

Because there are often numerous child locations, scans are not automatically triggered by the scan schedule set for the parent (primary) location. Instead, you must manually trigger scans for child locations. You can trigger a scan for a single child location using the Scan now button for the location. You also have the option of triggering a scan for every child location using the Scan all now option, or you can trigger a scan for selected jobs.
