Restrictions

1. The maximum length of any folder or file name is 32767.

2. The maximum path length is 32767.

3. The maximum path level is 50 (will be increased in the future).

4. No trailing spaces in folder names, file names, or file extensions.

5. No trailing periods,

6. Any non-printable ASCII characters will not be filtered by SkySync.

7. Restricted characters in the file name: < > : " / \ | ? *

Installation

Any drive that is mapped and reachable by the SkySync installation can be used to make the Network Drive connection.

API Method

The Windows file system is used to navigate to the target file structure.

Authentication

Windows Integrated Authentication is used when making the Network Drive connection.

Special Notes

1.When using Integrated Authentication, it is important to note that the Navigation Panel uses the currently signed in user. 

2.The Job Control panel will use the user account entered in the service setup. 

3.The default is the local system account.
