Overview
DryvIQ Govern can be uninstalled using the Windows Control Panel. In addition, you will need to remove files from the configuration directory. Use the information below to uninstall the application.
Some installation information references “SkySync.” This is expected.
Uninstalling the Software
Open the Control Panel for Windows.
Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
Select SkySync in the list and click Uninstall.
Click Yes when prompted to confirm you want to uninstall the application.
Removing the Configuration Directory
The DryvIQ information installed in the configuration directory is not removed as part of the uninstall process. This is intentional in the event you need to reinstall the software. This allows you to reconnect to the database on the subsequent install. If you will not be reinstalling the software, you can safely remove the data in the configuration directory.
Do not remove the configuration directory if you wish to reconnect to your database.
The location of the configuration directory depends on the path specified for the configuration directory during installation. If the default value was used during installation, the configuration directory will be found in C:\ProgramData (accessible using %programdata%).
If the configuration directory is left blank, DryvIQ will default the configuration directory to %LOCALAPPDATA%\SkySync (where %LOCALAPPDATA% is relative to the Service User).
In the configuration directory, you will need to delete the SkySync folder.
Restarting the Computer
You may be prompted to restart your computer. This may be required to fully uninstall the application.
