Overview

A connection is how you grant DryvIQ access to the content in your Google Cloud Storage account. You will provide the connection information required for DryvIQ to connect to the platform/server. This grants DryvIQ access to the account so it can scan and analyze the content based on the policies you create.

Creating connection | User Interface

  1. Select Content from the main menu.

  2. Verify you are on the Connections tab.

  3. Select Add connection.

  4. Select Google Cloud Storage as the platform on the Add connection modal.

  5. Enter the connection information. Reference the table below for details about each field.

  6. Select Sign in with Google Cloud Storage.

  7. On the Sign in with Google modal, enter the Email and Password required to log in to the Google account and select Next.

  8. Select Continue when prompted to grant access to the Google account.

  9. You will see a "Connection test succeeded" message on the Add connection modal when DryvIQ establishes the connection. (If you don't see this message, verify the entered information.)

  10. Select Done.

Display as

Enter the display name for the connection. If you create multiple connections, ensure the name clearly identifies each connection. The name displays in the application, and you can use it to search for the connection and filter lists.

If you do not add a display name, the connection will be automatically named after the account owner. For example, Box (John Doe). If it will be useful for you to reference the connection by account, you should use the default name.
