Each platform has limits for path and segment lengths. During transfer, if an item’s The truncation option determines how to handle paths and segments that exceed these limits. When creating a job, you have the option of turning on truncation to enabled, truncation will shorten a path or segment name when it exceed exceeds the maximum number of characters allowed based on the platform. Truncation removes a platform allows by removing the right-most characters until the path meets the length requirements. By default, this feature is not enabled for a job.
