New Features and EnhancementsNew managed Network File System connector: DryvIQ now offers two Network File System connections in Windows environments. The original Network File System connector is the original native connector that uses NFS protocol to access files. The new Network File System (Managed) connector is a read-only connector that uses SMBLibrary to make the connection, which may allow for better performance than the native connector in some instances. The managed connector can be used for Govern policies where DryvIQ only needs to read files; it cannot cannot be used for Govern policies that require actions to be taken against the files.

UpdatesPoliciesThe last scanned date has been added to the top of the Policy reporting page (next to the active toggle). This allows you to see how old the scan results are when reviewing the policy reports. This date does not automatically refresh. The data only updates if you navigate to another page or manually refresh the page. Updates were made so you don't lose your place when editing a policy. Before, when you clicked Apply changes, the current tracking group would close, and the screen would reset to the top of the page. Now, the tracking group remains open, and the screen stays at the same location on the on the page. When editing policies, new logic was added so the Apply changes button is unavailable if no changes have been made to the page. This provides a visual indicator whether edits have taken place and if saving is required.
Entity TypesA new Active User Status entity type was added. It will identify if the owner and/or creator of a file is active and can identify if users with whom the file has been shared are active. The File Details entity type includes two new fields: 1. Owner: This will identify the owner of a file. Some platforms (such as Box and Google) allow an owner who is different from the creator to be assigned to a file. If owner is not supported, the creator will be considered the owner. 2. Last Touched: This is the last time the file was touched. It uses the most recent accessed date or last modified date based on which date the platform supports.
Data SourcesThe scan status is now available on the Govern Data Sources page. The Status column display when the last scan ran for each location. If a scan is in progress, this field will display a progress bar to indicate the scan progress. If scans are running for multiple locations, each location will display its own progress bar. The Govern Data Sources page does not refresh, so a manual refresh is required to view progress. Learn more here.

New Features and Enhancements When configuring data sources for the file permissions entity type, modify permissions policy action, or remove permissions policy action, you can now specify user email addresses you want DryvIQ to identify or take action against. You also have the option of using a “allusers@domain” wildcard to find or apply actions to all email addresses with the specified email domain. Learn more about configuring data sources using the links below.

New Features and EnhancementsPoliciesA new File Permissions entity type is available when creating a policy. This allows you to configure the data source to specify the user(s) whose file permissions you want to identify. Items with zero (0) confidence will no longer be returned as found.
FixesA fix was made to ensure cancelled scans do not continue to run. The Policy insights (Summary, Risk Assessment, Content Insights, Results, and Activity) now display as soon as the initial scan is initiated. If the report page contains a Scans Across Data Sources section, this section will identify that the scan is running.

This release includes rebranding from SkySync to DryvIQ. You will see the DryvIQ logo in the application after updating, and references to the platform will now be DryvIQ. All functionality in the platform remains the same. The Documentation Center is currently being rebranded, so you may still see references to SkySync, but those will go away over the next few weeks. You can read more about our rebrand on the DryvIQ Website. |
New Features and EnhancementsEntity TypesWhen creating a custom Regular Expression entity type, you can now add Negative Keywords that will prevent a match if the keyword is found within proximity of the regular expression pattern. Learn more here. You can now set the specific proximity you want the platform to use when validating Keywords and Negative Keywords for a custom Regular Expression Entity Type. Learn more here.
ConnectionsThe Microsoft Office 365 GccH and OneDrive for Business GccH connectors have been updated to use Microsoft’s Graph API. Updates were made to the SharePoint online connectors (Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams) per Microsoft’s suggestions to improve overall scan performance.
PoliciesThe Remove Permissions and Modify Permissions actions can now be applied to Network File Share data sources. The File Details Entity Type now supports operators for “Created on” and “Modified on” dates. Learn more here. An “Identified by” filter was added to the Results grid so you can filter the grid to show only items that we identified by a specific assignment rule within a tracking group. Learn more here. When viewing the details for an item on the Results page, the file name in the toolbox is now a link you can use to access the file (when supported by the browser). Learn more here.
FixesThe Total Data Analyzedand Files Analyzed report counts now include information for failed items. Updates to the PII model corrected errors that were causing scan item failures. When a scan finds a file that cannot be opened, the item will now be flagged with the following message: “Some file text could not be extracted. Not all file content may have been analyzed.” If you select “Other” in the Tracking Groups stacked bar chart to view the items in this category, the Results page now properly displays all the items. The Data Source column on the Results page displays the correct data source path.

New Features and EnhancementsEntity TypesA new Sensitive Object Detector has been added to the entity types to detect image files that contain sensitive data. Learn more here. To expedite creating additional entity types, you can now duplicate an existing regular expression or block list entity type and edit it. Learn more here. You can delete any custom entity type you created as long as it is not assigned to a policy. Learn more here. A timeout for matching regex patterns has been set to 5 minutes per pattern in an entity type. If a match takes longer than the timeout, an error will be logged in the Activity report for the policy indicating the regex engine timed out.
ConnectionsPoliciesA new Match Threshold slider was added to the policy assignment rules so you can specify if you want to use the default threshold for the selected entity type or specify a custom threshold. Learn more here. Three new policy actions have been added so you can take more action against identified content for a policy: Remove shared links, Remove permissions, and Modify permissions. Learn more here. You can now remove a data source from a policy. Learn more here.
MiscellaneousA Load More link has been added to list modals to ensure you can view all content if there are more than 100 entries in the list. The login page links have been updated to open the DryvIQ Govern knowledge base so you can read documentation, submit a support ticket, or review current release notes.
