Restrictions

1. The creation of and renaming of root libraries is not possible through SkySync. Changes made to Libraries need to be done from the Oracle Web Center UI

2. Oracle utilizes Title and File Name. It is important to note that SkySync will keep track of and edit the Title but not the File Name. This is because the File Name is similar to a version name of the same document.

Workflows

WebCenter allows for the creation of Workflows that will make changes to files as they are checked in. For example some workflows will rename a file for organization reasons when it is checked in. Unfortunately, SkySync cannot keep track of actions performed by workflows of this type. This means that recopies can result from them resulting in duplication. This is because the workflow action takes place before the file is created. This also means that SkySync will not have a record of the rename occurring as it is not causing it. 

Common Issues

Behavior: Metadata isn't being updated by my metatdata import job.

Cause: This is likely caused by leaving the "Metadata Set" field blank, when the Oracle WebCenter connector was initially created (see screenshot below).

Fix: 

1. Edit your existing Oracle WebCenter connector, adding the desired Metadata Set name.

2. Perform a hard-reset on the metadata import job, being sure to delete the change optimization history. 

3. Re-Run the metadata import job.
