Overview

You can view additional information about a file using the toolbox. The toolbox appears on the right side of the page when you select a single file in the Results list. Use the tabs to view different information as needed. Click the X to close the toolbox when you are done. Sections on each tab that do not contain data will be collapsed, and sections that contain data will be expanded. Use the arrows to expand and collapse sections as needed.

The Toolbox respects the setting selected for each column on the Results page. If a column displays the raw data on the results page, the information will be displayed in the toolbox. If the column is set to “show/hide,” the content will be masked as periods. Click the eye icon to view the actual value (A). When the content is visible, you can click the eye icon with the line through it to hide the values. If a column is set to “redacted,” you will see a green check mark if the entity was found in the file and a dash if it wasn’t found in the file (B). If a column is hidden, dashes will display for the content (C).

File Info

The File info tab provides quick access to information about the file’s location, properties, and sharing access. Note that the Location information, Type, and Publicly available fields will always show the corresponding information regardless of the column settings.

Contents and Entities

The Contents and entities tab provides additional information about the file details and file metadata. It also provides the file classification category and identifies which entity was identified in the file.

File Activity

The Activity tabs tracks all the events for the file. This includes file renames and moves. Click the copy icon to copy the file name to your computer’s clipboard.

Currently, activity is not available for files that are part of Network File System connections.

Viewing the File on the Platform

You can use the Go to location button to access the location of the file. You will be prompted to log into the platform account, so you must be a credentialed user for the platform and have permissions to access to the file in order to view it.
