Job Category
On This Page
Overview
The Category page in the job setup allows you to assign a category to the job. Categories are used to logically group jobs, making it easier to filter and report on them. Selecting a category is optional and does not affect how the job runs.
DryvIQ comes with two default job categories:
Maintenance: This category is used exclusively for system-generated maintenance jobs. It enables you to view reports for background processes and is not intended for user-created transfer jobs.
Default: If no category is selected for a job, it will automatically be assigned to the default category. This option allows you to create a report for all jobs not assigned a custom category.
From this page, you can select an existing category or create a new one. Once created, they are added to the Job category list and are available for all future jobs.
Categories are assigned during job creation and cannot be added or changed after the job is created. If you plan to use categories for reporting or organization, assign one at this step.
Creating a Category
Click Add new category in the Category list.
Add the category name and click Done.
The category will be added to the Job category list and will be available to select for all future jobs.
Managing Categories
The Manage job categories option allows you to edit your custom categories or remove custom categories.
Filtering the Jobs List by Category
You can use the category as a filter when viewing the Jobs list. Just select Category as the filter and select the category from the Select a value list that displays.
The Category filter is limited to displaying 1000 values.
