Reconnecting Connections

If connections become disconnected, you can reconnect them again. You have the option of using the existing credential (the credentials used to create the connections) or adding new credentials.

Reconnecting Using Existing Credentials

  1. Expand Manage in the left navigation menu.

  2. Click Connections.

  3. Locate the disconnected connection in the Connections list.

  4. Select the ellipses (…) that appears at the end of the row on the connection line.

  5. Click Reconnect from the menu that displays.

     

  6. A Reconnect modal displays. Note that the modal will contain fields specific to the storage platform.

     

  7. Click Reconnect with existing credentials.

  8. DryvIQ will attempt to connect to the platform. You will see a green "Connected” message on the bottom of the modal when DryvIQ establishes connection. (If the connection fails, you may need to reconnect using new credentials.)

  9. Click Done to finish creating the connection. 

Reconnecting Using New Credentials

  1. Expand Manage in the left navigation menu.

  2. Click Connections.

  3. Locate the disconnected connection in the Connections list.

  4. Select the ellipses (…) that appears at the end of the row on the connection line.

  5. Click Reconnect from the menu that displays.

  6. A Reconnect modal displays. Note that the modal will contain fields specific to the storage platform.

  7. Enter the required connection information. (Refer to the connector-specific documentation for information about the required field for your specific platform.)

  8. Sign into the platform or test the connection (based on the platform).

  9. You will see a green "Connected” message on the bottom of the modal when DryvIQ establishes connection. (If the connection fails, verify the information you entered.)

  10. Click Done to finish creating the connection.
