Sometimes a job may need to be reset, in order to address issues or for changes to be applied.

SkySync has two levels of resetting a job:

  • Standard Reset: Change Optimization is kept and the job is forced to go through the folder and file tree again to search for changes

    • May cause the next job to run slower though this is not guaranteed

    • Will only effect connectors that support events, Box, Huddle and Google

    • Unlikely to cause re-copy

  • (Full) Reset with Change Optimization Deletion: All change optimization history has been removed, forcing the job to recreate its change tracking database.

    • This will cause the next job run to go longer than you may expect, as directory/change information is rebuilt.

    • This may cause recopy with connectors that don't support timestamps, such as Sharefile.

    • Sometimes referred to as a "hard reset"

    • If files/folders where deleted prior to the reset the deletions will likely not take place and the files/folders will likely be re-copied depending on the job

Step-by-step guide

1) Right-click the desired job, and choose "Reset Job"

2) Decide if you want to perform a Standard or Full reset.

3) Click "Yes"
