You can manually trigger a Discover scan using the blue Scan now button on the top-right side of the menu bar. When you select this button, a menu displays and lists all the data sources assigned to Discover. You can select to scan one data source by selecting Scan now next to that source or all data sources by selecting Scan all available data sources now at the bottom of the menu.

Once a scan is triggered, the Scan now button next to the data source will change to a label that displays the scan status. A “Running” status indicates the scan is in progress. A “Queued” status indicates the scan is waiting to start. The scan will run based on its priority in the queue.

The menu initially displays 15 data sources. If you have more than 15 data sources, you will see a Load more link. Use this link to display the next 15 data sources. To close the menu, click the main Scan now button used to open the menu or click outside of the menu.

If a job shows “Paused” as the status, you can resume the scan on the Locations tab. Find the location on the page and select the Scan now button next to the location.
