Editing the Content Grid Columns

Editing the Content Grid Columns

On This Page

Overview

The information displayed on the Content page is dynamic based on the entity types used in the content scans. The Content grid defaults to showing the full details for all displayed content. You can customize the grid to hide, reorder, and change how content in a column displays. The selected display settings are retained until the local browser cache is cleared. If it is cleared, the grid will return to the default view.

Editing Columns

Click Edit columns on the top of the Content page to edit the column settings.

The Edit columns modal displays only the categories for the included entity types, and each entity type is grouped under its corresponding category. Expand each category to view the individual entity types in the group. Edit the settings as needed and click Save to save the changes.

Changing Column Order

Use the up and down arrows to arrange the content in the display order you prefer. Since the content is grouped by category, you can only adjust the order of the categories or how the individual entity types are ordered within the category.

Changing How Columns Display

The icons on the right side of the modal let you choose which columns appear on the page. For columns that may contain sensitive information, you can control how the data displays. You can also include the confidence level to show the accuracy percentage of the displayed information. Confidence levels are defined when configuring Scan Types for a content scan.

Click the icon that matches the display option you want to use. Display preferences can be set at the category level or for each entity type within a category. If you hide a category, all entity types under it are hidden unless you explicitly choose to display specific entities.

Description

Show raw value: This setting indicates you want the column to show. The column will display the raw value from the file. This means the column will display the information exactly as it appears in the file.

Show/Hide: This setting will present icons that allow you to toggle the content of the column on and off. When hidden, the content will be masked as periods. Click the eye icon to view the actual value. When the content is visible, you can click the eye icon with the line through it to hide the values.

Redacted: This setting allows you to include the column and see that the entity type returned information, but the actual value cannot be viewed. Instead, you will see a green check mark if the entity was found in the file and a dash if it wasn’t found in the file.

Hidden: This setting hides the column. The only way to view the column will be to edit the settings to include it.

Unavailable.png

Score Unavailable: This icon indicates that no confidence score is available to display. This may occur if no score has been recorded or if the entity type has not yet been used in a scan.

None selected.png

Scores Available: This icon indicates that confidence scores are available for a category or individual entity type but are not currently displayed.

Confidence scores are displayed in the Content grid and on the Contents and entities tab in the file toolbox.
