Testing Connections

Testing a connection allows you to verify DryvIQ can connect to the platform. This is the same connection test that runs when you create the connection. If there seems to be issues with scans for a particular connection, you can test the connection to ensure it is successful. If a connection test fails, it may mean the platform is experiencing an outage, or there may be an issue with the credentials used to create the connection. If there is an issue with the credentials, it may be necessary to create a new connection.

  1. Search for the connection you want to test.

  2. Select the Options icon (…) that appears at the end of the row on the connection line.

  3. Select Test connection from the menu.

  4. DryvIQ attempts to connect to the platform using the credentials that were used to create the connection. If DryvIQ can connect to the platform, you will see a “Connection test succeeded” message. If the DryvIQ isn’t able to connect to the platform, you will see a “Connection test failed” message.
